So here is another update

Hey everyone,

this is another update on what is going on…

I just finished another test with the beautiful Inga-Maleen and Anika Ress (Hair&Makeup).

It was great fun and I’m currently in the middle of editing the images.

So in the meantime I’ll share some impressions from the shoot with you guys.

We all had great fun and it was a good working with Anika again, since the firebreather shot was the last project she was involved.

Oh and although the studio is already quite decent in size, it’s just not high enough (thanks Anika for the behind the scene shot).

It’s been to long

So it’s been quite a while since I’ve updated this blog, so I guess it’s time for a status update.

Many things have happened. So what to start with?

I’m still living in Hamburg and still invest  a lot of time and money in my gear and to expand my knowledge about photography.

I’ve attended a six months course at Akademy Deutsche POP to become a certified photo assistant and to improve my knowledge about photography gear as well as to better understand the basics and history of photography.

Parallel to that I’ve worked full time for Hamburg based photographer Ilan Hamra in his studio for about two and a half months. He helped me understand the day to day tasks of an established photographer and shared his profound  knowledge with me.

Working with Ilan taught me a lot about the duties of a photo assistant in preparation to and during a photo shoot.

So what else happened?

As my Sony a55 broke down during my last time lapse, I had to buy a new camera.

So I got myself a Canon 5d Mark III now and I must say I’m happy with it so far.

Btw. these are the last frames I did with the Sony:

What else?

I did a job for the FEI a few months ago and will upload a few more frames from the session with María Inés García once I have permisson to do so.

Here is one of her

I’m looking forward to join two great photographers (Frederike and Miriam) and share a Studio with them from november on, so expect more interesting projects coming soon.

So long…

2012 – all new web design and focus

Just shortly after I’ve updated the design of my Website a few months ago, I decided to change it again. This time to reflect the change in my personal career.

The new website puts the focus on my photography and the technical framework will help to showcase my portfolio to potential clients.

In the not so distant future I’ll upload a few more photographs and a bit more content as well along the way.

So please understand this blog post as an invitation to follow me along my way to become a better photographer and maybe a better blogger as well.

About me

Born in Neumünster/Schleswig Holstein, far in the north of Germany.

Raised in a small village near Wolfsburg. A city dominated by two letters: VW.

Lived in Munich and Sydney for a couple of years, but currently, Hamburg is the place I call home.

Started my career in IT, changed to Online Marketing eventually made up my mind and followed my passion for becoming a photographer.

Today I’m working hard on my profession as photographer/photo assistant or photo & video-artist (whatever you’d like to call it).

I preferably use my Sony A7 III or Blackmagic Camera for commercial jobs and my analog Hasselblad 500 c/m for free artistic work, but I also know my way around all sorts of digital cameras(Hasselblad, PhaseOne, Canon, Nikon, Sony).

While being on travel I prefer my Fujifilm X-Pro1 as it is more convenient.

Like to work together, fine! Just use the contact form to get in touch:
